Officers are required to perform a wide range of duties often times requiring the need to search buildings and structures. The reason for searching or securing a structure can range from risk to property up to risk to life, each requiring a different response. From searching a structure subsequent to an alarm call to responding to active shooter/killer event, officers are forced to make decisions and act in a rapidly evolving environment.

 

This 16 hour course is designed specifically for smaller urban law enforcement agencies. The course will provide patrol officers with contemporary tactics, concepts and methodologies to assist them in determining the appropriate response and tactics to utilize in securing a location and locating the threat.  The course will focus on search and entry methods dependent upon number of personnel available, tactics to enhance officer safety, safely taking suspects into custody, maximization of cover and concealment, resource management and mission priority considerations. These tactics will be reaffirmed through the use of scenarios involving air soft pistols designed after the GLock 17.
